Masterlink ML-9600 是一台高分解度母带磁盘录制机，它融合了硬盘录制技术、 DSP 处理技术和 CD-R 刻录功能，是一台功能齐备的 CD 母带制作设备。
Masterlink 是迄今唯一一款可在标准 CD 上创建 24bit 母带混音的设备。众所周知标准的 CD 播放器不能播放 24bit 音频文件，但是科技的发展将注定音频的分解度会越来越高。所以 Masterlink 可谓走在了时代的风头浪尖。无论你需要的是一张个人使用的普通 CD ，或只是一张 demo, Masterlink 都可以轻松的予以完成，并且它还可以根据需要将分解度降低至 16bit 。
Masterlink 内置了一块 40GB 容量的 IDE 硬盘，可以储存 450 分钟 24-bit / 96kHz 的高分解度音频文件，或者 1800 分钟 16-bit / 44.1kHz 音频文件。在 Masterlink 的录制过程中有 12 种不同采样率可供选择。还可以将信号以各种采样率和比特率格式进行转换。同样你可以录制高分解度音频文件，并进一步对其进行编辑。或者也可以按照 Red Book 标准刻录 CD 、创建高分解度“ CD24 ” 母带光盘。
而内置的32-bit SHARC DSP 芯片可以通过数字信号处理系统完成样本采样率的转换、噪音修正、均衡操作、标准化操作、峰值限定、压缩等一系列功能。以前你可能需要计算机配合众多昂贵的硬件设备才能完成的音频处理功能，现在 Masterlink 可以一手完成。
你可以方便的对 Masterlink 完成升级，你只需要将含有最新功能和程序的升级光盘插入 Masterlink 的光盘驱动器就轻松的完成了该设备的升级过程。此外还可以通过两个均衡 XLR 模拟信号输入端口（ (+4dBu ）和非均衡 RCA 连接端口将设备与硬盘录音机相连。
可供选择的还有均衡 XLR 输出端口和 RCA 连接端口。如果你需要 S/PDIF 输入输出端口， Masterlink 后部的 RCA 接口可以按照 S/PDIF 接口的电平水平进行工作。
